Network System

Connect several individual BELT-WAY Scales. The goal at Sauk Valley Systems was to develop belt scales that can be tied together through a high-speed network system to a PC to provide important information for a more productive operation. Connecting several BELT-WAY scales to our system will provide you with up-to-the-second information of all scales. Our scales and other SVS products can be added to the network in the future without modification. Our high-speed network is a true industry standard. Data is sent between computers or scales at a rate of 2.5 million bits per second instead of the usual 9,600 bits per second of traditional RS-232 serial transmission. Each device on the network has a unique identification number. You only have one cable running into the office computer no matter how many devices you have on the network.

Expandable System
Customize your plant layout by adding additional BELT-WAY scales or other SVS products on your computer screen. Just click and drag your mouse to add a new scale to your system. Name and number your new scale, and you have expanded your system.

View Plant Operation
View entire plant production totals from your office in "real time" to obtain increased efficiency. Information from each scale is continuously updated. View exactly what is crossing your BELT-WAY scales in real time.

Increase Plant Profits & Productivity
Scale the graph in tons per hour to provide you with a visual warning if more material is crossing a scale than should be. Immediately see on the PC monitor how your adjustments have changed your individual product production. Fine tune your plant for MAXIMUM productivity of your most profitable products. Use the BELT-WAY network system to monitor your plant production. Just a glance at your PC monitor tells you your accumulating weight and current rate.

Inventory Information
Our rate versus time graph accumulates information once each minute to create a daily graph for each scale on the network. View your production totals for the day to assist you with inventory. See the time you started running material, the time you stopped, down time, total material weighed, and the average rate you run each day. This data can be printed on an office printer.

Supervisory Control
Our BELT-WAY network system will provide production data in "real time" and "historical" formats to save supervisory labor.
